Wedding Photography FAQ’s

We have answered some of the questions that we get asked. Please if you have any questions about our photography that isn’t covered below please get in touch with us through the contact us button at the bottom of this page.
Remember there is no such thing as a daft question.

Can we meet up before we book?

Of course, we feel that it is really important you make the right choice for your wedding photographers. As well as liking our style of work you must be comfortable with us as your photographers, as we will be with you for most of your wedding day.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we have professional insurance which includes public liability and indemnity insurance.

What is your style of photography?

Although professional our style and approach is relaxed and informal. We will capture your day as it unfolds and will photograph the natural moments involving yourselves and your family and friends that make your wedding day so special. We mix this with some wedding portraiture photography and we will of course photograph any specific family shots that you may want on your day.

We love your work but you haven't photographed at our venue before.

This really isn’t a problem as we will try and visit your venue before the wedding day. We will also try and meet with you there too. We will come up with locations for photos and wet weather options, so we have a plan on your day.
Sometimes choosing a photographer who hasn’t photographed at a venue can be a good thing, as we will be able to see the venue with fresh eyes, giving you something different from other photographers.

I have seen a wedding photographer who is offering all day coverage for £500. How come you charge so much?

Each photographer has the right to charge what they feel is a suitable fee for their work on your wedding. Our prices are based on the amount of coverage you get with us, as well as the amount of preparation, enthusiasm and sheer hard work we will put into your images, albums and service after your wedding. Our pricing reflects the high quality of our work compared to many photographers who may charge a lot less. Our prices are for two photographers not one and an assistant, we would ask not to be tempted to compare our prices to someone working on their own on your wedding day.

How many photographs do I receive and are the photographs copyright free?

The number of photographs you receive really depends on the size of your wedding so it is really hard to put a figure on this, normally you will receive in excess of 500 images from your wedding day. These images have all been through a digital process in order to present them at their best for you.

Yes, your digital images are given to you with a print licence. This means that you can do pretty much anything with your pictures. So you can copy, print and share your pictures as you wish. The only restriction is that we ask that you do not sell or make any income from your pictures, also that the photographs are not used for any other commercial purposes without our agreement.

Do we need to pay a deposit?

Yes please, we ask for a £300 reservation fee in order to reserve your wedding date in our diary. Once reserved we are yours for that date as we only ever book one event per date. Your booking is confirmed once we have your deposit and signed copy of the contract form that we will send to you.

How long does it take to get our photographs?

We aim to have your photographs with you between six to eight weeks after your wedding and this depends on workload. Wherever possible, we like to meet with you and present your photographs to you in person.

We like you – how can we check if you are available and then book?

Fantastic! It’s really easy to check our availability, just get in touch by phone, text, email (click the button underneath to get in touch) or by Social Media if you prefer and ask us to check our diary for your date. We will get back to you as soon as possible to confirm our availability.
We can then arrange a no obligation get together to discuss your wedding photography plans.
If you are happy to book then we can give you the paperwork to do so and once we receive this back and your deposit your date is secured and we will confirm to you by email.

That’s it, we are your wedding photographers!
As we consider it a privilege to be asked to photograph your very special wedding day we will be so looking forward to it and being part of your celebrations.
