Jo and Paul’s Wedding, The Kings Head, Richmond North Yorkshire.
Preparations.
Jo and Paul had decided to tie the knot locally to Jo and her family, so Richmond, North Yorkshire, it was. But the day started with the bridal preparations taking place at Jo’s family home just outside of Richmond. This is the story of their day.
Paul was there in plenty of time along with his groomsmen waiting patiently at the church.
The ceremony.
This was a wonderful ceremony in a wonderful setting. Declan looked so proud in escorting his mum down the aisle and yes there were a few tears shed that we saw.
The Kings Head Hotel, Richmond, North Yorkshire.
So after the photos it was back to the Kings Head Hotel for the wedding breakfast and celebrations. The King’s Head in Richmond, North Yorkshire, was built as a town-centre mansion in 1720 by a local lead-mine owner. Records show that it traded as a hotel from at least 1725 and is thought to have been named in honour of Charles II, who in 1675 recreated the previously extinct dukedom of Richmond for one of his illegitimate children. It remains a stunning location and was perfect for Jo and Paul’s wedding celebrations.
The wedding celebrations at The Kings Head Hotel involved confetti, brilliant family moments, a stunning wedding cake, some amazing magical trickery provided by Paul Lytton, who really did make it look like he cut a groomsman head off! Lots of dancing and more tears – good tears that is.
Evening Celebrations.
Jo and Paul’s celebrations continued into the evening with cake cutting, dancing and some opportunities to create some unique photographs for them around Richmond. We loved spending this bit of time with them.
